About the Role

The QC Laboratory Technician will play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of the company's products. This hands-on role involves conducting quality control tests, analysing results, and collaborating with production teams to maintain the highest standards of product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and generate detailed quality reports.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods as needed.
  • Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the laboratory.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a QC or laboratory-based role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing methods.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in recording and interpreting test data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Relevant certifications or training in quality control or laboratory operations are a plus.
